wow!!! great color ... with Picasa3, no rocket science
My self-assignments have materialized and a few of the images that were created are posted across my Facebook photo albums. I am surprised at the response or maybe more precisely I should say, I am flabbergasted by the reaction of some the Facebook friends to the images displayed in the albums. It is not the content but the color of the content. Thank you all for the complements, I am truly appreciative. Is something wrong in the world of color photography? My world of color photography? My viewers world of color photography? Not being disrespectful of anyone, but some of our worlds of color photography could be lacking the "vivid".
I am aware that a fair percentage of the world population which would also be representative on Facebook, has no inkling of photography, but given the association and the pressure that Facebook presents, they are forced to jump on the Facebook train so as not to be left behind. So they may acquire the economical computer package, with printer and free digital camera, and they are set to surf the internet and join Facebook, because that is where everyone is and where you need to be if you are somebody.
The end results may be some of what we have on Facebook today. I am glad that they are making the effort and complement them, but they need to know that there is more to it than just that. Some folks may say that this is okay because all things are supposed to be in balance Facebook included. So at one end perfect pictures and at the other dark and darker pictures with unrecognizable images. Of course, if it is your picture you can recognize everybody in it, even if it is pitch black. That is what your memory [and maybe imagination] does for you. The rest of us and even the best face recognition software could be hard pressed to make an identification in the dark zone of the photo.
There is no reason for anyone to have dark photos at anytime or anyplace especially on Facebook. Google Picasa3 is free software that can make everyone look good, and when I say good, I mean really good, to the extent that you can say WOW!!! to your own Facebook photos. All the controls you need to make your masterpieces are inside Picasa3 and you have the power in you hand to make you pictures a WOW!!! or a STUPES!!! The choice is entirely your own. Picasa3 is easy to use. You don't have to be able to read either because 4 and 5 year old are making photo masterpieces with Picasa3. Google and others have many YouTube videos to help the Picasa users to squeeze everything out of Picasa3.
I have been around for a while and some folks may want to label me as a professional photographer. That is a free label so I will take it, and what you get you will take. I have on my computer all the professional software that you can think about. Everyone seem to claim the Adobe Photoshop is the hottest thing out. Well I disagree. I am a photographer. I am not a graphic artist. There are many photo tools on the market that deal with pro photography. It is only recently that I added Picasa to my toolbox and can't do without it now. Google keep improving and updating their FREE software and as the young folks would say "it rocks".
So to all my Facebook friends you too can become a rocket scientist with Google Picasa3... the FREE Google Picasa3 software, and leave some of the so called photographers choking in your dust ....
