... mudoooooo...!!!
This is unbelievable, and if the most truthful person in the world had told me so I would still be like doubting Thomas, but you have to trust your eyes, even though you know that your brain can play tricks on you, and you can sometimes 'see' what is not there, even with your eyes squeezed shut, and if you are as SOBER as Harry Potter's uncle.
Mudoooooo is a popular word that I see on Facebook these days. I am no great scholar so I consult with Google web search to learn more about this 'Caribbean' word expression. I must tip my hat to Lord Cut, who is right on the money with his calypso, "Only in St Christopher", but he only gave us a teeny weeny sample in his song. I am still laughing at my Google search results, but some of you may not find that as hilarious or as humorous as I do, when you search for MUDOOOOOO. But then, you don't have my sense of humor, nor my grip on reality.
Mudoooooo .... hahahahaha..... It sweet me!!! Mudoooooo ...
I believe that at the next full moon all the lunatics in our country will be in their element. Those that we already know and those in the closet will be revealed. Parliament will automatically dissolve on 16th December, a week from now, that is if the PM does not do that before. The PM says he don't want to disrupt the Christmas 'cheer' so no elections till after the Christmas, but you have to interpret what was said legally, because Christmas is only the 25th and 26th, everything else is Carnival, as far as I am concerned.
The good thing about this carnival is that it may be larger and more colorful than usual, as all the political parties may try to put all their supporters on the streets in an attempt to woo the young and potential voters to their cause, while attempting to show some sort of strength. Personally, I don't think that is a good measuring stick, as historical data would reveal, but to each his own. I hope that we get treated to the usual kaleidoscope of carnival troupe colors and not a preponderance of red and yellow, which is what I would expect from the spectators.
Oh yes, I am looking forward to my double pension the weekend before Christmas, that is if no injunction stops its payment. This is not the first time that certain persons display a serious dislike and disapproval for poor people getting any additional or extra money in their hands. It gives the impression that some people still feel that poor people should always be under the yoke of subservience, and forever await a handout which they, the people after money, are still most reluctant to give. Anyway this blog is about photography and it is great to see that most of us can be using the latest Canon DSLRs ... and any extra month salary is most welcome to invest in another camera lens.
I hear a complaint from a certain quarter concerning the lack of good and usable Carnival pictures from last year. I find that strange because I always see a lot of people taking pictures and the hardware used most times seems to be either on par with or better than mine. So I am really at a lost. However, I do notice that the photographic subjects are specific, implying a contract, and maybe no one is shooting on speculation these days. Its all about the contract if you are sure you need photos.
Shooting Carnival images for Facebook or for any commercial poster and print reproduction may require two different shooting techniques, given the lighting that can exist at the time of the Carnival Parades. We are taught that the ideal lighting conditions for most outdoor shooting exists between 10 am and 2 pm, however the Carnival Parades are usually 4 and 5 pm, or 3 pm plus if you are lucky to be at the start. I notice fill flash use is quite popular, but I am not led to use the fill flash techniques for Carnival image making on the streets. Using flash could prove a serious distraction to an actor who is leap frogging over an upturned pitchfork.
The action here starts from Friday. It is Carnival action, Christmas action and Election action, all rolled into one BIG action. Some folks will enjoy all three Actions together, others will only enjoy one and maybe two, but the really smart limers will take in all 3 actions and have themselves an unforgettable ball, for another season like this one may never ever present itself again in their lifetime. I will take in as much as I can and share some of it with my readers and viewers. You know the adages, 'life is short ....', and 'you only pass this way once ...', and all the rest of them.
So enjoy the season and when it sweet you, freely express yourself .... MUDOOOOOO ......!!!!
