skb day 6

We live in exciting times, and the times in SK are indeed exciting. Of course it all depends on what excites us, because what is joke to one person could be death to another. I believe that anything pertaining to life is indeed serious, but we have to learn not just to see the humour in life and living, but to be able to laugh about it, and laugh very hard too. Life is short and we need to live it to the fullest.

We all need to exercise daily, and maybe senior citizens more so. I see many senior citizens who I suspect are in dire need of exercise, and I really feel it for them. There was a time that I fell into the non-exercise rut, and it got deep the more I tried to get out. No one was helping, I don't even believe that many persons know that exercise is to be taken in the same proportion like food and water. These are three of the main ingredients for living and longevity, but no one is telling us about exercise. Exercise is a natural process like drinking and eating.

Everything is going good until we begin to short circuit the processes, and put everything on a diet, eating, drinking and exercise. Most times we eat more fast food, drink more sweetened water, and seriously cut back on exercise by driving everywhere. And it grows on us. Many of us are aware that we have turned off the track, but some of us find it difficult to make a comeback, to keep in shape, without the help of our GP.

I believe that we should LOVE ourselves so much that no one has to encourage us to do the right thing to keep our health in top gear with DAILY EXERCISE. It is so simple to walk a mile a day. As we age it could become difficult, but the old habit of walking every day is hard to break. For older persons who now have to break into the habit of walking every day to ensure continued wellness there are FITNESS EXPERTS in our community who specialise in ensuring that the senior's exercises are done right.

I am taking my exercise walk daily, either morning, noon or night. But just walking is no fun [even though I know that it is a must do] so I take along my camera and capture images that catch my eye. Of course there are some images that I see and not capture, and some others I capture but can't share. But that is photography, nothing new. On day 6, three cruise ships were in Port Zante, so my midday walkabout took me up on the New Town Bay Road, and here are a few of the images captured.

All the images made on day 6 can be seen in my Facebook album 20150106.

Have a wonderful day, and please take a walk with your SENIOR citizen.
