It is upon us, again


Today is not my day for blogging, but since I am already here I will have my say. We are into the seasons again. 12 moths ago this looked like an eternity. We could not begin to imaging, never mind to visualize that our lives would be changed irretrievably. Our outlook on our SKN is now not the same. Many people are not taking this change in their stride. Many people do not know how to stride. It is just a fact of life so we fault no one. Change is inevitable and we all go through that every single day. Today we are 24-hours older, we have changed, but we may not notice that change, unless something extraordinary happened, and we were forced to stop and take notice. We can consider ourselves lucky when we are not beset with any life changing circumstances for some time. We all have friends who claim they are most unlucky. Some people believe there is no such thing as luck, but I am not getting into that. We all have to believe what we wish to believe, and what we believe should work well for us. What you want is what you get, and no maybe in that.

So we are into the last 60-days of 2013.We have seen and heard of many things, but I do not think that we have seen the 'icing' on the news cake yet. You must admit that a superlative adjective to describe the news these days needs to be invented, and I am optimistic. I am not appalled at the 'topics' making news, we ain't see nothing yet. We are living in the 'last days', so we should expect to experience many new 'things', but we owe it to ourselves not to become discombobulated, confused, or driven from our minds. This is where having the right focus is important. Focus is key to our survival in the present and the future. Focus also goes with wisdom, understanding and information. Some reading this may not know where I am coming from nor where I am going. Everything you read anytime, anywhere may not be for you. Everyone can read, but everyone is not given to discern or decipher the "information content" of what they read. This is a fact, and now you know.

So much for that.

We are now focusing on the highlights of the season, to wit, Tourism and Carnival. Many things continue to change, as they should, with the presentations, as they relate to the providers and the end users. These two national functions have specific purposes, and we all expect that at the end of day there is a national benefit. We hope that the difficulties experienced last season are not repeated, ever. Everyone expect that all the persons involved [management, helpers, volunteers, workers, etc] will exude honesty and integrity, and make us all feel proud. Some of us seem to forget that we cannot carry "anything" with us to the other side, and some of us believe that honesty and integrity on our earthly assignments do place us in high heavenly standings. At best we should try to live up to our teachings, no matter what belief system we subscribe to.

From the last season and maybe the run up to it, I believe that an attempt was made by some persons to divert certain aspects of the national focus. I am not convinced that the specific diversion of the national focus that was intended has been successful or will be. But while we await for the determination it seems to me that most of the people I interact with have 'lost' the traditional focus. Specifically how this will affect the carnival season is to be seem, but nothing detracts from our Carnival, so I know that is safe, but I suspect that the organizers may have to work overtime this year to guarantee a measure of success and improvement. I am of the view that every Carnival should be more successful than the last. I am confident that this Carnival will be hotter than last year. And not because it would seem that most people could be into a sort of "election expectancy" mode, when the drum beat in SK everything go on hold until the beating stop.

Last year Carnival I was rather pleased to see that the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Leader of the Peoples Action Movement political party, were both in the same Carnival troupe. Much water has passed under the bridge since last Carnival, and they are both involved in High Court Cases, concerning the business of SKN. From my knowledge of them both, I suspect that they could be in the same Carnival troupe again in 2013. However I suspect that the unity concept grouping may have a Carnival troupe, but I do not think the Speaker of the National Assembly will be a part of that.

So we are on the Carnival move this weekend, stay tuned. The Tourism season is up and running. Between them both, this is the best time to be in SKN. I have the best of this world, living here like a tourist, and living like every day in Christmas. Life is short, join me, give it a try, YOU have nothing to loose.

I must be dong something very wrong when more than one or two or three persons on Facebook find to ask me what camera I am using to take the pictures that are posted to my Facebook photo albums. If I was doing the right thing I believe that nobody would have asked at all. I am of the view that my photos are looking normal even though I have not run them through Photoshop or Lightroom, which seem to be hailed as the professional photographic software that separate the men from the boys, or rather the professionals from the amateurs and/or whoever else, in the field of photographic reproduction. I am just making a 'comeback' into photography and really don't have the time to tangle with Photoshop and its alleged steep learning curve. I still have to learn why I must use Photoshop to alter the reality captured by my camera. Photo school indeed!!!!

I believe that Facebook is a rather nice place to 'lime' if and when you don't have anything better to do. If because a person would always have something better to do, like sleep, instead of Farming at 2, 3 and 4 o'clock in the morning. When is your consciously controlled time to 'lime' with your Facebook friends and family. The Facebook addiction may be a reality but nobody is taking that on these days. It may be better to be facing-the-book than out on the street, and getting into trouble, because that usually finds you especially when you least expect it. The Government of St Kitts and Nevis should be pleased to see so many of our people Facebook farming, and I hope that when they drop this interest in the real world, they are prepared to deal with the Agricultural revolution. 12 MP could be better

Who is really right? Some folks say that 6 MP is the ideal camera, some say no, it needs for more MP than that. So who really correct? Is it that they running race with film? Maybe the minimum MP has to do with the application. I believe that the human mind can spin you a perfect image with the minimum of MP. You don't have to see anything to conjure up a picture. We put you in an alleged "haunted house" and you see who and what you want to see, crystal clear, and you get free sounds too. Maybe the camera is really for mind control, because some of us still do not believe the images that we see in black-and-white or color. This could call for research.
