Quarter 3 update

Liverpool Row, Basseterre, St Kitts

It is a beautiful day in skb. Just had breakfast, one helping of oats with two bananas, raisins and cinnamon, sweetened by honey and sprinkled with Moringa powder food supplement. As you may know I eat my Moringa food supplement every day, except on Sunday. Friends tell me that a person has to fast at least one day in the week. And it seems to be working for me. While I am on the topic of Moringa, let me say emphatically, that I would not be walking around today without the help of Moringa, grown in SKB and created by GOD. I see many of my friends, associates, and haters,  who I believe could benefit from the LIFE giving quality of Moringa.  I must always thank my neighbour Eudora for bringing Moringa to my attention. You don't have to wait until you feel sick, take your Moringa daily, and don't leave home without it.

SKN is doing great. We have been through Independence 35 and the storms have passed down south. SKN continue to develop as people keep moving forward. These last few months my interaction with photographers seem to have dwindled down to a handful. Maybe the photographers I knew are not attending the events that I do. That is quite possible given the level of political polarization that exist in SKN. Fortunately I am not for hire so I do not have to think and act "correctly" in order to "eat" tomorrow. It is a sad state, and we should never ever get there. Unfortunately there are many of us who succumb to the bullying and threatening tactics of providers and promoters.

I see Photographers on social media complaining about unpaid monies for work done. As photographers we need to understand that people have the money for everything, but they always want to knock-about the photographer and don't pay them. This is a global problem, and we need to see how photographers in far off lands overcome that problem and follow their lead. We live in an area where some people simply thrive on dishonesty. It happens in every community on earth. There are dishonest people. Since we cannot tell who they may be, we need to treat everyone alike and do like the typical businessman in the US, pay up front, PAY FIRST. Operate like a 'fast food' joint. PAY FIRST. If you cannot afford to PAY up front, don't even bother to talk to me.

Photographers need to offer clients the best services that they can afford. Offer clients service better than yesterday. Of course this may come with a price tag. You do not have a problem paying for that "  We can offer the same and maybe even better print quality here, but you do not wish to pay for it.  It is time to get over that. Clients do not have any problem to pay for an "8x10" snap when they go on a cruise so what is the big deal? Photographers in SKN offer professional photo services that rival those in the more developed countries of our planet. Keep serious about photography, get the best hardware and software that you can, and follow up with the photographic instruction available on the internet.

There is no limit to your photography if you are serious.

We are now counting down for Christmas and Carnival. I must say that Carnival is not as "CLEAN" as it used to be. My camera makes video but I was unable to post any of the footage I made because of the vulgar content. True, I could have edited the videos. Carnival gets better every year so this year vulgarity should increase another 50%. Is this what attracts visitors to our shores? Already we can drink as you like for Carnival, so let us carry our disorderliness to a new level. Some folks feel that this drinking and vulgar behavior does not factor into our crime. I am no expert but I believe that anything that is not wholesome introduce a negative component to our high living standard, and THAT is undesirable.

So let us get ready for the Carnival action. Christmas is only one day, the rest belongs to Carnival. Get your camera and phone ready. Every phone with a camera makes you a photographer. You don't have a choice.  Hold it steady and press the button. Get the best photo App you can, and you are good to go. There are some of us who will not forsake Canon and Nikon, so let us not disappoint them for the season. We could all do with a new camera and lens and the time to order it is now. Given how long it take imported goods to reach me now through the Post Office, I should have ordered my camera since July to ensure delivery before Carnival 2018.

Let us see how these months leading up to Carnival will pan out.

Have a wonderful day.
