It is seven [7] days already and some of us can't see what we did or where we went in the past week. It is as though time has either accelerated on us or we have slowed down dramatically. I think it has to be us, because time is fixed, constant, unchangeable, natural, and in any event, it is us who are aware of it's existence, not it of us, so we are the ones in limbo, in trouble, if we feel that someone, somewhere is meddling with our time. Some people get so worked up over this time thing like they vex with God, when maybe in reality they are actually in denial, and need a dose of honesty, and truth. You don't have a problem, all You need is Faith in God.
Even though I may be moving slower with age I am alive and well and feeling greater, that is younger, than yesterday. The past week has been just great as God continue to shower down his blessings on me, my Life and my family. Some of us can't recognize the blessings but I take every kind and positive word that is sent in my direction as a blessing, and it has nothing to do with the bank. Maybe in the real world, taking something from the bank and giving it to some needy souls [and I did not say charity] might create the real blessings that our life revolves around. I receive blessings not to horde but to pass on to those in need. Information that you disseminate can be blessings to someone, but you may never see it like that. Maybe it is time for some of us not to "think" but to "be" outside the box.
I like to see my pictures big. I cannot stand a 640pix and smaller image. Of course Facebook, Flickr and the other nets have to keep it small and economic by design, but I need to let you see some of the pictures of our beautiful unspoiled islands a little larger than matchbox size, and have been looking at a photo sharing site or two that can help me out. I came across ImageOnTo a free site but I have to drop them because I cant get to upload more than two images in a batch, and I can't get a response from their support, but my test panorama looked good, real good on my 1920 pix, 24-inch monitor. Anyway I found Fotki and was so pissed off with ImageOnTo that I signed up for 3-years hosting. In hind sight I was more than hasty because SmugMug is still number one [#1] on my list, even though it is 558.75% more expensive. It is looking like this hobby is turning into a work. Well, no problem, I give God thanks. My Fotki test uploads are found here, for now, and I hope the link works.
These days so many things are not working, but I am keeping out of that. So many local people get caught up in the chatter of US health care, while they are already getting the treatment or have access to it, for free and a song, but our people like to talk, and others like to make mischief and discord ... but that is what a human being is all about. Like the paparazzi, they are all alike, on every continent, no different.
I see some photographers on the other side of the world also making great images. Of course the darker skinned women, or more correctly, the ladies of a darker skin tone and complexion, are always more beautiful, but more difficult and elusive to capture [photographically]. I leave the photo critique for the photographers who think they are GOD, but suffice to say the guys are doing a great job at image capture over there, and I may have to go across one day to invest my 2 cents. The African Queens seem to have a "fierce" attraction that the photographers go out to capture, I am now wondering if our photographic tools in the West would prove effective. The question is whether an African Queen will photograph the same in her natural indigenous environment as in New York City? Well, a tiger is a tiger, but ...!! Only one other comment, 'thank God for Photoshop' but we still need to get back to the basics of light and lighting. Enough said.
If no more rain I will walkabout today. I see movements on the F. T . Williams Highway and I need to take a close up look, [that is our money spending there], and they seem to be even working on Sunday now. Every time I pass by I see new holes and excavation, but no diggers. The 5th roundabout is even taking shape, and you will see that here too, maybe up close at 1600 pix.
Stay tuned ...
