Election countdown

The election countdown has started for those people who always in the know, but some on the sideline who are working with their mouth shut are counting up. I am not into counting up or down, and I am still listening to hear what better I will get now from this united front. I want it now, not next month or next year, and if you can't deliver it now, I am not interested in what gold and silver you claim will be given out later, if and only if, favour is found with the majority. I know what I have in my hand now, and I am not willing to open my hand and let that go, and hope that by chance I may be able to grab something else. I am not sure that even a monkey will open its hand to grab at something else. In my small days I read in a Caribbean Challenge magazine, that the monkeys were caught because they would not open their hand once it was caught in the trap. So it seems that I am already caught, and that ends the story.

I do not waste my time to read what polls say because anyone can fabricate a poll result and no input from participants are necessary. You don't even need to have a good imagination. It is just a matter of presenting some people with what they want to hear. Maybe this is what they call politricks, because the fabricated poll information could encourage those persons who are swallowers, to place an 'X' in a certain position. I am of the view that smart and wise people do not make poll results public, but instead use that data to fine tune their mechanism and thus positively impact on their intended results. Of course, I am no scientist, and there seems some logic to it.

When all the elections are over I would hope that people will accept their victories and defeats like big people should and not bawl cheat and take it to the courts again. I am still trying to understand why the courts have to recount, when all the agents scrutinized everything, sometimes two and three times during the counting process, and agreed on what is good and what is bad. I guess that the legal luminary has some special examination devices to examine "X" better than the agents and representatives who counted. Maybe that is something acquired in them school, so I am keeping out of that. Who win, win, Who loose, loose. Better luck next time. There must be some way to make this whole process simple and foolproof. Are there any smart people left in the world?

My focus is not on any election but on my health. The people we put in the offices are expected to have a prime focus on our health, and that of our family and even friends. I believe that we are being very stupid if we are not voting for our own health first and foremost. But some people want house and land and money, even before health. What good is all of these without good health? More so, since acquiring good and great health, could be practically FREE. We can have it all, but the priority has to be right first. For me, a senior citizen, getting into and keeping in good health is as simple as walking one  mile every day. One mile is a short distance. On the F.T.Williams highway, it is less than the distance between the R.L. Bradshaw International Airport roundabout and the Best Buy, Camps, Roundabout. Within the city limits, take it from the St Georges Anglican Church to Best Buy Supermarket in the West and in the East up to the Needsmust Power Station.

I see many people walking more that one mile easily.  On rainy days, when I really want to stay dry, and I do find it to be a lot of fun walking in the rain, there is the treadmill, But being in the great outdoors  is really the fun part of walking and interacting with the pavement, sometimes people, vehicles and nature. In my particular case I always walk with Vanessa or Melissa, one of my trusty and loving cameras. It takes away the monotony of just pounding the pavement. A picture is worth a 1000 words, and  can say more that I can, and show what is encountered and can be shared from a walkabout. Everyone has their cellphones with cameras, but very few persons may see something worth capturing on camera during their exercise walks.

I have already gone 6 days. It require 21 days to form the habit, and I am working on that seriously.  Everybody needs to exercise and to do it everyday. Sexercise is not the same thing. All the muscle groups need to be activated, not just some of them. Many of us have parents and grand parents that are really in need of exercise. Exercise could make them less cranky, and ease some pressure of your nerves. We have nothing to loose by getting everyone that we interact with everyday to exercise every day. Walk together and chat together. Walking to and from the bus and home may not be enough, no problem, the secret is to walk EVERY DAY, how far, depends on you, there is no limit to being in perfect health.
