Gone in 21 days


We are now into the season for picture making. Some of us are looking forward to see the most outrageous of performances again this year, but I suppose most of us would expect to see more composed participation. The calypso says that it is either in the water or the food, but I verily believe that our local brew and beverage water products could most certainly be a party to the actions. In SK we are FREE to drink as we like. All the products are made in SKB with the best water in the world, and you can't get anything better than that.

I see movements which people say are election moves. Election can be next week and there is nothing we can do about that. I am of the view that whether it is early or late, it is done in the public interest, which is always better late than never. Of course there are some things which [in my view] are outstanding and overdue, but the people who are making most and many noises are both blind and dumb, and given to dishonesty. I now consider that they are just rebroadcasters, who echo for their supper. A lot of this happens during these political seasons. Propaganda is the scientific word for this.

Irrespective of the season the beauty of SKN is undeniable and not going anywhere. We are the only ones passing through, and rather quickly. There are 400 year old trees at Romney and other places in SKN, and they are as beautiful as ever. Very few of us get to be on this planet for 100 years, so we should really make our short sojourn in SKN mean something really positive. Work with Nature, work with what we have, be cognisant that it is sustainable without us. We come meet and and we go leave it. Fact of life #1. So, let us plant a tree for our great great grand children.

Some of us capture and share what we see how we see it.  Some of us verily believe that what we see needs help in Photoshop. That is their view and outlook, I have no problem with that. But you can't beat being in the natural. It is the only way to totally appreciate SKN in all its beauty, and any other word[s] you can use to describe. When we learn to see and appreciate the beauty in everything that is all around us, we recognize that no camera can do justice, but we still try to capture something of what we perceive.

I must be dong something very wrong when more than one or two or three persons on Facebook find to ask me what camera I am using to take the pictures that are posted to my Facebook photo albums. If I was doing the right thing I believe that nobody would have asked at all. I am of the view that my photos are looking normal even though I have not run them through Photoshop or Lightroom, which seem to be hailed as the professional photographic software that separate the men from the boys, or rather the professionals from the amateurs and/or whoever else, in the field of photographic reproduction. I am just making a 'comeback' into photography and really don't have the time to tangle with Photoshop and its alleged steep learning curve. I still have to learn why I must use Photoshop to alter the reality captured by my camera. Photo school indeed!!!!

I believe that Facebook is a rather nice place to 'lime' if and when you don't have anything better to do. If because a person would always have something better to do, like sleep, instead of Farming at 2, 3 and 4 o'clock in the morning. When is your consciously controlled time to 'lime' with your Facebook friends and family. The Facebook addiction may be a reality but nobody is taking that on these days. It may be better to be facing-the-book than out on the street, and getting into trouble, because that usually finds you especially when you least expect it. The Government of St Kitts and Nevis should be pleased to see so many of our people Facebook farming, and I hope that when they drop this interest in the real world, they are prepared to deal with the Agricultural revolution. I have relatives who have already invested in hydroponic equipment to precipitate some cyber farming into the real world. I am concerned that we may soon see a migration to the real F

12 MP could be better

Who is really right? Some folks say that 6 MP is the ideal camera, some say no, it needs for more MP than that. So who really correct? Is it that they running race with film? Maybe the minimum MP has to do with the application. I believe that the human mind can spin you a perfect image with the minimum of MP. You don't have to see anything to conjure up a picture. We put you in an alleged "haunted house" and you see who and what you want to see, crystal clear, and you get free sounds too. Maybe the camera is really for mind control, because some of us still do not believe the images that we see in black-and-white or color. This could call for research.
