VAT Carnival 2010/2011 coming up
Life is great ... for those of us who can find the time to see and discover the greatness, in this beautiful world of ours. The world is beautiful ... but that is a different story. In reality maybe 'great' does not truly describe 'life', neither does 'beautiful' do justice to the 'world'. I believe both life and the world only exist as we wish to see them or perceive them, and maybe if we 'concentrate' hard enough we can alter their reality. This is beginning to sound more crazy than complicated. In case you did not know there are more of 'them' out there, than there are 'locked up', to keep us safe from 'them' ... maybe in another reality it is to keep 'them' safe from 'us'. That is why I like the cannibals ... eat your enemy and anything that offends you. If you can't eat it raw, roast it. I don't think I am one of the 'them', and I am not 'locked up', and in this reality I am just me, myself and I ... or so I would like to believe.
So where am I going with this ... nowhere!!! In our world today many of us [maybe for lack of wisdom] seem to get stuck in a mode, and as a friend pointed out recently, living and this life is all about 'greed'. I must confess that I am a selfish bloke and do not read as widely as I should now-a-day. I think I can read so I leave that for those who are learning, and need to learn how to do that. I believe we have a global reading crisis. 99% of the world is looking at porn daily on computer, and that is not reading, neither is the 70%+ of folks who glance at the ingredients/labels in the supermarket, looking for the expiry date, sodium, msg and unknown chemicals. Reading is what you do to increase knowledge, improve understanding and ultimately gain wisdom. As a matter of fact we may be in this life and on this planet only for the purpose of gaining wisdom, so we can steer away from the negatives and into the fullness of our life ......
Are the holidays over yet? I am not sure, because it seems like whenever you awake you find another holiday looming on the horizon. I see that the "VAT Carnival" is shaping up. The new Minister of Carnival has a new Committee with token men [no disrespect] because we all know that "women can do it better". Actually it seems to make sense. Carnival is a woman's thing. The men are there because of the women. Without women a "jam session" turns into a bounce, then trouble, police and swat. Women bring that stabilizing force and excitement for men, who always have the after 'sex' party fixed firmly on their mind. I dare say that for most of us CARNIVAL and SEX are synonymous, and sorry to be so unsubtle. I don't wish to sound disrespectful, but two of our National Heroes are probable byproducts of the Christmas lime and merriment, as they were both born in September, exactly nine months later. Maybe our statistics will also show that more birthdays celebrate around this 9th month of the year.
I am not taking my text on the Carnival Committee, but I think they may have a special charge to make sure this "VAT Carnival" works. I suspect that there may be the usual detractors who will try to kill the carnival [as usual] to satisfy their flavour of politics, and so add some spice and variety to the festive season. Carnival has also come forward another month now launching in October. A slight improvement. In seriously Carnival oriented countries, the next year's Carnival begins the day after the current one ends. One of these days we will get there. This should be a very interesting and exciting carnival run and we will all be watching the new Management closely. Of course, like everyone else, I wish them every success, with this VAT Carnival 2010/2011.

So where am I going with this ... nowhere!!! In our world today many of us [maybe for lack of wisdom] seem to get stuck in a mode, and as a friend pointed out recently, living and this life is all about 'greed'. I must confess that I am a selfish bloke and do not read as widely as I should now-a-day. I think I can read so I leave that for those who are learning, and need to learn how to do that.
