are we there yet?

Image
I feel like blogging today. I don't know why the expression "are we there yet?" played on my mind, because, honestly, I don't know where I am going with this, but I know that something will come forward. Last week I was mildly surprised to find that the Independence Square tourist guide identifier was back in place. I am not knocking anybody or anything, and I am not going to be funny or sarcastic, just realistic, keeping it as real as I can be, and not bringing any politics here either. So the Independence Square sign is finally back in place. Was it last month the news broke that some foreign agency gave us about $380K to fix up the Square for Independence, two months away? You know we work best under pressure so I expect the usual last minute dash to completion. I wonder if this signage is part of the $380K? SK is unique and it is not impossible for a sign like this to take 5-years to make, and come back here. I am sure that the Craft House could have made, pa...

hotting up

This is summer. We always have summer. It is hot all the time. I do not like cold, I like it hot. Most Caribbean people like it hot. But it seems that when it get 'hot' some Caribbean people with cameras go to sleep; bad choice of words, sorry, they just cannot be seen. I am not on anybody's case, this is just generalized talk ... but if it fit you, I am so very sorry. I feel like blogging today. I have to hit the blog when I am in the mood. Blogging is not unlike sex. Some people won't get it, but some day you will if you live long enough. I was saying, I feel like blogging, but because some people, who I still respect,...

Generally, as one becomes more senior, there could be the tendency to become more inactive, physically and otherwise, and I reason that blogging could help me to avoid and delay my fall into that inactivity trap. Photography is my main pastime with amateur radio, also called ham radio, closely behind. The major difference in hobbies are that photography gets me out of the house while ham radio ensures that I keep inside. But I love it outdoors, and when you live on beautiful islands like St Kitts and Nevis, you never really want to go inside, unless it rains. I am not hastening to add that I do not have any problem getting 'out my house', and I am not throwing any words on anyone who have to get 'their friends' to come over to help them to get out of their house. hahaha. I am trying a new thing with this blog by starting with a post heading, and I am hoping that I sta...
