Greetings, Happy New Year, Welcome to my photo blog for 2017, never mind that we are closer to year end than beginning. I post pictures almost every day on Facebook but somehow scribing a few words here just slipped my mind.  This should be a pretty active year but I will try to be brief and keep out of trouble. The only troublesome 'thing' in skn is politics, and I am keeping out of that. These days everything has a political flavour, but I am trying very hard not to be contaminated, maybe touched is a better word, so as to maintain my sanity. Speaking of sanity, it appear to me that insanity is on the rise as more people get themselves involved in some aspect of politics. I would add 'that does not concern them', but many would disagree with that, as the feeling seem to be that everything about politics concerns everyone.  I don't mean to sound insensitive, but I believe that we should let the politicians be themselves and do what they do best. February 16th ushered in a new wave.  All change is good, but you can't tell that to some folks, of course we know why. It appear that we are finally getting to where we should have been years ago. But then, there is the saying that "nothing happens before its time", and some of us believe that to be true. Many things are happening in our little skn, like the sudden increase in crime an...

Well, the general elections have come and gone, and nothing has changed. People always seem to feel that everything will turn up, over, or upside down every five years, when the people who feel they are best suited to manage the affairs of the nation, make a bid so to do. Maybe for some people some things do change, but in reality, nothing changes. Life continues the same, nothing extra is added. We will still eat, sleep, shit and die, the same way, election or no election. Am I wrong? Some will eat more, sleep less, be constipated, but we will all die when the time has come to go. This is just a fact of life, and no need to worry or get upset. This election was not without FREE concerts, but as a senior citizen, I did not have the  desire to damage my health in any way by being out all night, and having to resist the temptation of drinking anything harder than lemonade. I did not see many pictures online from these events, though I suspect that many cell phone/cameras capt...
