Friday afternoon roadside advert on my street January almost half gone, and I am just getting here  ... Happy New Year. Sugar Mas 48 was a big surprise and it caught me off guard. What I expected and planned for did not come.   Life is like that. We plan for things because we believe that we know, but we cannot take all the variables into consideration, because there is always that one unknown elusive factor, which holds the key to the result that we expect. In time we learn to live with the results, unfortunately, some of us never learn to re-adjust our mentality to suit the new environment. But SKB is a place where the impossible does not exist for all those of the correct mindset. This picture of the Anthem Of The Seas was made from under my moringa tree in the side yard, 108-feet ASL up on the hillside, overlooking Port Zante and the Caribbean Sea. This could be just shy of a mile from Port Zante, as the crow flies. Well, the general elections have come and gone, and nothing has changed. People always seem to feel that everything will turn up, over, or upside down every five years, when the people who feel they are best suited to manage the affairs of the nation, make a bid so to do. Maybe for some people some things do change, but in reality, nothing changes. Life continues the same, nothing extra is added. We will still eat, sleep, shit and die, the same way, election or no election. Am I wrong? Some will eat more, sleep less, be constipated, but we will all die when the time has come to go. This is just a fact of life, and no need to worry or get upset. This election was not without FREE concerts, but as a senior citizen, I did not have the  desire to damage my health in any way by being out all night, and having to resist the temptation of drinking anything harder than lemonade. Peace has finally been restored to our land of beauty, as we take a break before moving on to the next level.. We always had 'traditional' peace here, but it seems to me that for the last couple years some people tried to implement their brand of peace, probably in order to create a new skn environment. All that is now history, and skn goes into yet another history generating phase. I am of the view that EVERYTHING that has taken place, is taking place and will take place in our twin island Federation will impact our Caribbean and the world at large in ways we cannot begin to comprehend or imagine. This is not the first time nor will it be the last. 50,000 thousand people, 100 square miles, year 2015, 2020, 2025. 8-4-9-5.  I am getting to like the EOS-70D camera, being lighter than the EOS-7D, but whenever I feel a spray and see rain I have to scramble for a plastic bag. It is not water proof like the EOS-7D. I will get around to movies if and when it becomes necessary...

Ready or not 14 is going out and 15 is coming in. Like how day follows night, naturally. For some of us the roll over may come as a surprise, when we awake to recognise that there are new parameters that affect life and living in our skn. Many of us are not paying attention to the right things, and some of us are following our friends in their own particular direction. It is incumbent upon us to think for ourselves, let no one translate and interpret for us, let your own spirit be your guide, it has never led anyone down the wrong path yet. Christmas is gone, 2014 is gone in a few hours time, and carnival will follow in a couple days. But the excitement in SKN may be just beginning for some folks, as people take each other to the courts to question issues, matters and things, as far reaching as our Federation's constitution. A quiet week as we prepare for Carnival, Christmas, 2015 .. and elections too.  The judge feels that two week after the revelry ends is the time to give the matter attention. Well, she is in charge, and everybody have plenty time to get ready. The radio DJ said that the PM riddle date is falling on the day after the birth date, which happens to be five days earlier than the judge's date. A lot of numbers are playing. Question is, who is going to win? Everybody running things. Or more correctly, running their own thing. People have a way of forgetting that there is a Supreme One, the Master, the Creator, GOD. I need not say anything else. If you don't know or don't believe it is a matter for you. We will see how this "matter" pans out in time to come. I hear we have an election date riddle. I heard a popular DJ translate the riddle date to a time in January 2015, the day after I celebrate my birth date. I am in things. But the election date is a secret, even onto the owner, so nobody may be taking on this early pronouncement. Historically, if you are in the know, you may get an inkling hours before the official announcement. I guess this riddle is part of the seasonal cheer, to bring joy to some people. Of course there are some other people who are far from happy with the ultimate reality more like fallout from the riddle, and it is up to us to help them over any despondency. This is the season for joy and merriment whether election is upon us in 60 days or not. Carnival begins in SKN tomorrow. I guess everything is in order on the inside, so we wait and see what the changes are for sugar mas 43. We expect the changes to be for the betterment of Carnival.
