2020 it is time ...

Friday afternoon roadside advert on my street January almost half gone, and I am just getting here  ... Happy New Year. Sugar Mas 48 was a big surprise and it caught me off guard. What I expected and planned for did not come.   Life is like that. We plan for things because we believe that we know, but we cannot take all the variables into consideration, because there is always that one unknown elusive factor, which holds the key to the result that we expect. In time we learn to live with the results, unfortunately, some of us never learn to re-adjust our mentality to suit the new environment. But SKB is a place where the impossible does not exist for all those of the correct mindset. In Sugar Mas 48 I missed seeing some photographers who have been here making pictures and videos over the last decade or so. From my corner I saw that there was a 50% increase of photographers, and I mean youths with DSLR cameras. These days everybody is a photographer because their...

If I was a different kind of person this post heading could be followed by an 'F' word, with an exclamation mark or two. But don't let me deprive you, feel free to use your imagination as creatively as you wish. For those of us who feel 'holier than' we need to understand a few things. We live in a very real world, and if we ain't doing anything to change the culture, we need to shut up, either get with it, or move on.  Now, having done with the pleasantries and housekeeping, let us move on and get into my August. I am happy to be alive, Thanks and Praise to the Master, the Creator, for my being here on planet earth at this time. I am seeing and doing some things never dreamed of. We know that all things are possible, we only need to believe. But that is something many of us have a problem with. We need to see to believe. But we need to see in more than one dimension. Some folks will tell us that we have to use our brain and our heart, and some may say use ...

This is my second blog here for this year. Blogging for me is for the sake of keeping myself busy. Generally, as one becomes more senior, there could be the tendency to become more inactive, physically and otherwise, and I reason that blogging could help me to avoid and delay my fall into that inactivity trap. Photography is my main pastime with amateur radio, also called ham radio, closely behind. The major difference in hobbies are that photography gets me out of the house while ham radio ensures that I keep inside. But I love it outdoors, and when you live on beautiful islands like St Kitts and Nevis, you never really want to go inside, unless it rains. I am not hastening to add that I do not have any problem getting 'out my house', and I am not throwing any words on anyone who have to get 'their friends' to come over to help them to get out of their house. hahaha. I am trying a new thing with this blog by starting with a post heading, and I am hoping that I sta...

The excitement in SK continued. I see more locals youths riding bikes, but they do not look anything like these. They make a high pitched sound and disappear around a corner or in the distance, before you even recognize that you heard them. I grew up with a "Trail 90" and never graduated to the 375. This biking is all related to the tourism product. I know your question, but I am no analyst so I am staying out of that discussion. Given the size of SKN, this could be the local bike of choice. I can visualize cruising around SK .... at 32 miles per hour I am back home in 60-minutes. Gosh at the "Ninja" speed I am back home before I leave. WOW!!! To really enjoy SK Harley travel 4 miles per hour maybe about right. I wonder what size gas tanks are fitted? Anyone in favour of a pedal bike with an assistance motor? I thing that is the lifestyle model, for seniors like me. Anyway it is nice to see SK still moving and attracting. Of course we are attracting a heck o...
