I hear we have an election date riddle. I heard a popular DJ translate the riddle date to a time in January 2015, the day after I celebrate my birth date. I am in things. But the election date is a secret, even onto the owner, so nobody may be taking on this early pronouncement. Historically, if you are in the know, you may get an inkling hours before the official announcement. I guess this riddle is part of the seasonal cheer, to bring joy to some people. Of course there are some other people who are far from happy with the ultimate reality more like fallout from the riddle, and it is up to us to help them over any despondency. This is the season for joy and merriment whether election is upon us in 60 days or not. Carnival begins in SKN tomorrow. This is my second blog here for this year. Blogging for me is for the sake of keeping myself busy. Generally, as one becomes more senior, there could be the tendency to become more inactive, physically and otherwise, and I reason that blogging could help me to avoid and delay my fall into that inactivity trap. Photography is my main pastime with amateur radio, also called ham radio, closely behind. The major difference in hobbies are that photography gets me out of the house while ham radio ensures that I keep inside. But I love it outdoors, and when you live on beautiful islands like St Kitts and Nevis, you never really want to go inside, unless it rains. I am not hastening to add that I do not have any problem getting 'out my house', and I am not throwing any words on anyone who have to get 'their friends' to come over to help them to get out of their house. hahaha. It is not true that there is nothing to photograph in SKN. Of course that could be true to those who are 'photographically blind'. It is a 'mind thing', not an 'eye thing'. We live in the image world. Every wink or part thereof interrupts the flow of the continuous image streaming to our brain. Some of us never appreciate the infinite memory capacity that we are created with, and I hope that some day soon "iMan" will be wise enough to invent an "iPlug" that could plug-up our brain to an "iViewer", for downloading and sharing some of the historic images many of us carry around for a lifetime, and would really like to share with someone.
