The Banks Calender Girl photos are out and the community seems very happy. No outcry this year. I don't suppose that last year's cry out will stifle any creativity or innovation to clothing and costume design, in fact the illegal creates greater demand, and we should be learning by now that it is sometimes better to keep quiet and go with the youthful flow. I wonder when some of this creativity and innovation will come to SKN? Will some of this creativity and innovation come for this Sugar Mas 43? Independence 31 celebrations came and went, just like that. We are now heading for Carnival, but some people seem to be of the view that elections will come first. I sincerely hope that the wolf callers are ready and set to go when the bell rings. All along the bell ringer has been saying that he is ringing his bell in 2015, but nobody wants to listen. Politics in skn continues, and some people are already calling foul, following the speechifying at the Independence Ceremonial Parade, held in the hottest Cricket Stadium of the region. We know as adults that we always need to have a plan "B", and a backup plan for that too, and not just because SKN is unlike any other Nation on planet earth. I have never taken pictures under stadium light until the CPL came to SKN.  I saw that shooting for the cricket played on the wicket is different to shooting in the crowd and what I think is called the out field. The SIDF EXPO at Independence Square on August 22nd 2014 was interesting and educational for me. The highlight of this event was the electricity lamp display. We all want to pay less and save more, so we all welcome the SIDF and its free LED household lamp project. For those of us who want to carry savings to another level, we only need to get the solar panels and matching power packs or power supplies, and we could be set for life. A one time cost outlay, and no bills to pay [for lights] for the rest of our life. I suspect there will be solar power supply options available for fridge, stove, washer, water heating and air conditioning. Most of us visit a restaurant or snackette, but we can't live by the light from our cell phone or portable device. Light and the absence of light, is what most photography is about. Another day. Another upset. I wake to what is a beautiful GOD given day. We may not know what else will happen, but we do know that everything that is created under the sun will be in its place, looking its best and giving thanks to its creator. Some people can hear the birds chirping. Some people can see the birds doing their chirp. There are other who will ask what bird? what chirp? They cannot hear or see the bird right in front their eyes. This is not anything new and it is nothing to be ashamed of when it happens to us, as it will at some point in our life. We get so caught up and distracted with our way of living that we do not hear and see as we used to. But when we become aware of what we are missing, we need to pull it back, and make some adjustments to out lifestyle and living. Many things are easier said than done, because even though we know we are going down the wrong road, sometimes we like it so, and hope that somebody will change it for us. But life does not work...
