Banks Beer 'girlie' pics upset

Image
Another day. Another upset. I wake to what is a beautiful GOD given day. We may not know what else will happen, but we do know that everything that is created under the sun will be in its place, looking its best and giving thanks to its creator. Some people can hear the birds chirping. Some people can see the birds doing their chirp. There are other who will ask what bird? what chirp? They cannot hear or see the bird right in front their eyes. This is not anything new and it is nothing to be ashamed of when it happens to us, as it will at some point in our life. We get so caught up and distracted with our way of living that we do not hear and see as we used to. But when we become aware of what we are missing, we need to pull it back, and make some adjustments to out lifestyle and living. Many things are easier said than done, because even though we know we are going down the wrong road, sometimes we like it so, and hope that somebody will change it for us. But life does not work...

exercise, fitness, wukup

I am mildly surprised today, and I should not be, because it is reality that wonders never cease. What happened? Some months ago I notice that I lost all of the photos in this blog that were referenced to urls in my Facebook photo albums. No problems with blog photos I had uploaded directly from my computer. I am no geek, but I thought that I understood what may have happened since Facebook had implemented an archival policy. So I went back to uploading from the source. Today I notice that all my blog photos are restored. This happens when programs are updated and bugs get fixed. When the difficulty arose I could have raised a trouble ticket, with Google my blogger provider or Facebook, and them stress myself out until there was a fix for it. I am past stressing myself, and instead I go to plan ""B"", find a palatable workaround. And that I did. Now that workaround is my plan ""A"". More and more I recognize that people in SKN are reali...

It is upon us, again

Image
Today is not my day for blogging, but since I am already here I will have my say. We are into the seasons again. 12 moths ago this looked like an eternity. We could not begin to imaging, never mind to visualize that our lives would be changed irretrievably. Our outlook on our SKN is now not the same. Many people are not taking this change in their stride. Many people do not know how to stride. It is just a fact of life so we fault no one. Change is inevitable and we all go through that every single day. Today we are 24-hours older, we have changed, but we may not notice that change, unless something extraordinary happened, and we were forced to stop and take notice. We can consider ourselves lucky when we are not beset with any life changing circumstances for some time. We all have friends who claim they are most unlucky. Some people believe there is no such thing as luck, but I am not getting into that. We all have to believe what we wish to believe, and what we believe should work...

21-day cycle

Image
I seem to be getting into a 21-day blogging cycle. That may be good for me, but I would prefer that it was my 21-day exercise program that was on target instead. Both exercises are important, but the physical exercise is a compulsory requirement if longevity is a factor. There are many mental routine replacements, just that they may not present us with real satisfaction, as they do not allow us to 'let off', and possibly help someone to make their day. Actually, given these living times, our days may be made even before we get out of bed. No more waiting. Welcome to living on the new edge. Some of us set out to capture the seemingly elusive action. Photography is unique to some photographers. I believe to a large measure the successful capture of images can depend on the development, [personal and technical] and the image capture readiness of the individual photographer. There is always a situation when the images are available in abundance, but for reasons unknow...

are we there yet?

Image
I feel like blogging today. I don't know why the expression "are we there yet?" played on my mind, because, honestly, I don't know where I am going with this, but I know that something will come forward. Last week I was mildly surprised to find that the Independence Square tourist guide identifier was back in place. I am not knocking anybody or anything, and I am not going to be funny or sarcastic, just realistic, keeping it as real as I can be, and not bringing any politics here either. So the Independence Square sign is finally back in place. Was it last month the news broke that some foreign agency gave us about $380K to fix up the Square for Independence, two months away? You know we work best under pressure so I expect the usual last minute dash to completion. I wonder if this signage is part of the $380K? SK is unique and it is not impossible for a sign like this to take 5-years to make, and come back here. I am sure that the Craft House could have made, pa...

hotting up

Image
This is summer. We always have summer. It is hot all the time. I do not like cold, I like it hot. Most Caribbean people like it hot. But it seems that when it get 'hot' some Caribbean people with cameras go to sleep; bad choice of words, sorry, they just cannot be seen. I don't give them wrong because the photo equipment cost so much money, plus VAT, and you can't get any insurance, maybe unless you are 'white' or know someone in the biz  'really, really good'. So exercise your best option, bring out the camera in the cool of Carnival, and don't shoot anything to 'hot'. I am not on anybody's case, this is just generalized talk ... but if it fit you, I am so very sorry. I feel like blogging today. I have to hit the blog when I am in the mood. Blogging is not unlike sex. Some people won't get it, but some day you will if you live long enough. I was saying, I feel like blogging, but because some people, who I still respect,...

this is the season

Image
This is my second blog here for this year. Blogging for me is for the sake of keeping myself busy. Generally, as one becomes more senior, there could be the tendency to become more inactive, physically and otherwise, and I reason that blogging could help me to avoid and delay my fall into that inactivity trap. Photography is my main pastime with amateur radio, also called ham radio, closely behind. The major difference in hobbies are that photography gets me out of the house while ham radio ensures that I keep inside. But I love it outdoors, and when you live on beautiful islands like St Kitts and Nevis, you never really want to go inside, unless it rains. I am not hastening to add that I do not have any problem getting 'out my house', and I am not throwing any words on anyone who have to get 'their friends' to come over to help them to get out of their house. hahaha. I am trying a new thing with this blog by starting with a post heading, and I am hoping that I sta...

drive by snap

Image
""Photographers have a way of describing a certain aspect of their photo image capture as shooting. I have not researched it, but I could associate the activity with viewing, aiming and squeezing the shutter button, in a fashion similar to a firearm user. Given the prominence of gun related crime in some of our communities, I feel it is safer for me to steer clear of shooting photos and resort to snapping photos instead. In the real world of photography, real photographers neither shoot photos nor snap photos, but create and make photographic images. But we no longer seem to live in the real wold of photography, therefore real photographers are seemingly ceasing to exist anymore. These days everything is debatable, even cold hard unchangeable facts are debatable by certain "people" of our now generation. I would really like to know why they must always be right, more especially when they are wrong, and if you disagree, please be quiet because you could be shot ...
